Man arrested with child's head at parliament

Police are investigating a man who allegedly delivered a child's head at the parliament building disguised as a wrapped gift for speaker Rebecca Kadaga.

The man whose identity is not yet disclosed was intercepted at the parliament gate opposite the National Theatre by security while trying to access the speaker’s office.

When asked by security where he was going, he said he was delivering a gift to the speaker. This prompted the security officers to ask what was in the gift parcel and on opening it, they reportedly discovered that it was a child's head.

They quickly apprehended the man and briefly detained him at the parliament police offices before whisking him away. Our reporter later observed a security detail carrying a black briefcase with gloves, being taken out of the parliament building.

Police officers at the security checkpoint who spoke to URN on condition of anonymity confirmed the incident and said that the messenger was a smart, composed man, with a face mask.

Helen Kaweesa, the assistant director of communications and public affairs says that her office is yet to receive an official report from the parliament security detail and police on the reported incident. Kampala Metropolitan Police deputy spokesperson Luke Owoyesigire also says that they are still investigating the incident.

How would anyone be surprised about this? This is our Uganda where people think a human sacrifice will give .omey and high position in government.

Besides; some of our top politicians are known to own or visit shrines openly. It wouldn't be surprising if they are involved in child sacrifice.

Luckily, one of the culprits has been apprehended and the police should investigate this heinous crime thoroughly. The police on discovering that he has a child's head should have allowed the man to deliver it and then follow-up on who receives it and what happens.

What a shame!!!!!! How far can this country sink? How can people play with human life that. How can a person kill another human being intending to use the head in that sense. SHAME, SHAME, SHAME!!!!!

These government should resign, they have failed to run the country. Let someone else try

The police have denied the public from knowing the real persons behind this ugly crime.

On discovering that it was a child's head they should have covertly allowed the man to deliver it and then follow-up on who receives it and observe what happens between the receiver and giver.

Our corrupt and unproffessional police just ruined the climax to this sensational story. We shall forever never know the real key players in this very ugly happening. The parents will never get justice. The messenger of the gift will alone carry someone big person's evil game.

Kadaga is known for believing in witchcraft. Maybe that or her rivals are trying to tarnish what is left of her already ugly name.

In other words Odongkara, we don't have a strategic, intelligent and functional police worth a pride. What we now have as the Uganda Police is Mr. M7's puppy-head barking and pouching dog.

You are right, Odongkara!
The police should "bait" such criminals!!!

They should have either 1- let him in, allowed a plain clothed officer to trail him and see who he gives the gift and ensure it is opened! The reaction of the recipient would give a clue as to the motive or

2- The police should have rung the alleged recipient of the gift to confirm that appointment had been made prior.
3-and finally arrest the thug
for further interrogation..

What act is evil and must be condemned !!!
Otherwise, you can now see who is responsible for the racism the few innocent blacks face around the world!

I am from west Africa and I am shocked at these practices. People who do this should all be burned alive at the stake.

No forgiveness! BURN the witches!
