Kenya's High court to rule Friday on homosexuality

This Friday, Kenya's High court is set to rule on a case challenging colonial-era laws that criminalize homosexuality. The petitioners want the court to declare those laws unconstitutional in hopes that will make life easier for the country's gay, lesbian, bisexual and transgender community.

Stanely Muasa, a gay man living in Kenya, said going to parties or events alone is always a risky affair. It is safer if he is in a group of two or three people, he said. In the past, he has been attacked by strangers — an experience shared by many gays and lesbians in Kenya, he said.

He is hoping that on Friday, Kenya’s High court will overturn the law that he said has fuelled homophobia for decades. The laws he refers to are the sections of the penal code that make gay sex a crime.

"There is no way someone is going to traumatize you, yet you have a right to go to any police station or any facility that gives justice. So it will change, everything will change, even police officers how they carry [treat] key populations, it will have to change," said Muasa.

In 2016, three Kenyan gay rights organizations filed petitions with the High court asking it to declare sections 162 (a) and (c) and section 165 of the Penal Code unconstitutional.

The organizations argue the laws violate the right to privacy, the right to freedom of expression, the right to health, the right to human dignity and the right to freedom from discrimination.

Court hearings began in February 2018.

The picture is of a bunch of fools who have decided to stand out proud and loud to declare that they are very stupid.

Unfortunately, these homos will take the day in court. I still insist that those who want to be gay should do so in hiding, the law cannot be bent to conflict with culture just because some people are pouring lots of dollars to introduce bad practices into our community.

How come nobody is paying to promote practices such as FGM, instead, they are up in arms against it

Dear WADADA, Homo has many dimension. (1) Biological: (i) A man is a genetically modified woman, contrary to the Bible.

Evidence (a) the truncated member of chromosome 23 which makes a woman a man (b) If you ever studied how an embryo develops, you would know that the male penis is actually a vagina turned inside out (c) It is possible for sexually reproducing organisms to be genetically male but phynotypically a woman & vice versa.

[google YY-Tillapia]. (ii) Religious & cultural dimensions: (a) As above, a woman was not composed out of the rib of a man. (b) "Homo" was with us before the Europeans came here & it was officially recognized and allowed. For e.g., King Mwanga was a homo and that is how we got our Uganda Martyres. [no more space here].

For Heaven's sake, the law against homosexuality is not just "colonial-era laws" but also African and Natural Law.

In other words, since attempted suicide is also a crime, homosexuals are actually "USELESS" people on a suicide trip.

But Karemire, the process of evolution (female to male cannot become the justification for perversion.

In other words e.g., is the shithole (anus) an evolving sexual organ into a Vagina?

Attempted suicide is not comparable to being homo in that in the case of attempted suicide you are a person who is trying to murder a person who is yourself.

Homo does not kill. Homo is a SIN and and not all sins are CRIMES. Eg, "eyeing" / poaching the wife of a neighbor is a sin but not a crime, otherwise some of us, including Mr. Bukenya, would have been in prison repeatedly.

But Karemire, the idea of SIN has to do with DISORDER/disharmony:

In other words, homosexuality is a sexual disorder, if practiced as a norm is the violation of other orders: moral, social and natural/universal order.
