Police is still stuck with 13 children who were separated from their parents during the Uganda Martyrs day celebrations at Namugongo last week.
The children who are aged between 9 and 17 are currently at Kira police station, Wakiso district.
Luke Owoyesigire, Kampala Metropolitan police spokesperson says that the police has tried to trace for their parents in vain. He explains that the children will be transported by police to the respective district police stations and thereafter help police trace their homes.
According to Owoyesigire, out of the 23 children who were stranded at Kira police station, 10 children were reunited with their parents leaving the police with 13 children .
He also says that eight of the stranded children come from districts in northern and eastern Uganda.
