Movies, picnics and cocktails mix well

Not even Saturday’s heavy downpour could stop Kampala party-goers from attending the Baileys picnic and movie experience at Kampala Sheraton gardens.  But the event supposed to start at 2 pm ended up starting at 7 pm, denying revellers a picnic experience under the sun.

It was supposed to be an outdoors afternoon event aimed at fusing a picnic mood with a variety of crafty cocktails, live acoustic performances, crowned with a movie under the stars.

As soon as the rain eased, patrons salvaged what was left of the picnic, sitting in the cold gardens to enjoy live music from JC Muyonjo, Body of Brian and afro soul singer Afrie, as make-up artist Be Dolled attended to interested patrons.

As revellers sipped on cocktails – some with coffee and hot chocolate – under the dim lights, attention was drawn on to the giant screen where A Star is Born, starring Bradley Cooper and Lady Gaga was screened.

The event was hosted by Cleopatra Koheirwe and attracted many celebrities.
