Into the Spiderverse opens up new Spiderman universe


This animation film chronicles the life of a Brooklyn teenager, Miles Morales (Shameik Moore), who develops mysterious powers after being bitten by a radioactive spider in the subway that transform him into the one and only Spiderman.

When he meets Peter Parker, he soon realizes that there are many others who share his special powers. Miles uses his newfound skills to battle the evil Kingpin (Liev Schreiber) who had developed technologies that could open portals to other universes.

Morales joins with his five counterparts from other dimensions to stop Kingpin’s plan for destroying all realities as he unleashes villains on them. Heralded as a new era for the Spiderman franchise, the film develops hilarious story telling perspectives people can relate with. 

Into the Spiderverse enlists an ensemble that includes: Jake Johnson (Tag), Hailee Steinfeld (Bumblebee, Romeo & Juliet), Shameik Moore (The Get Down, Dope), Mahershala Ali (Green Book, Moonlight) and Liev Schreiber (Ray Donovan).

Into the Spiderverse premieres this Friday at Century Cinemax, Acacia mall – Kamwokya.
