This musical follows the beginnings of British rock band Queen and the iconic lifestyle of its lead singer Freddie Mercury (Malek).
It focuses on the band’s preparation for the Live Aid concert 1985, put together to raise funds for Ethiopians affected by famine.
The Live Aid concert gave the band a chance to overcome their differences to deliver one of the greatest live performances in British rock history popularizing their We Will Rock You hit as a sports anthem.
Though littered with imperfections, Bohemian Rhapsody gives the chance to showcase the illustrious life of the Queen band and its lead vocalist Freddie Mercury whose colorful persona endures to date.
Directed by Bryan Singer, the film enlists Rami Malek (Mr. Robot, Papillon), Aidan Gillen (Game of Thrones, Maze Runner: The Death Cure), Lucy Boynton (Apostle, Murder on the Orient Express), Mike Myers (Shrek Forever After), Tom Hollander (Mission Impossible-Rouge Nation) and Ben Jones (X-Men: Apocalypse).
Bohemian Rhapsody opens this Friday at Century Cinemax, Acacia Mall
