Cocktails in the Wild heads to Fort Portal

This weekend, Roundbob, in partnership with Uganda Waragi, is hosting Ugandans to an awesome weekend of fun and activity in Fort Portal.

It is a fusion of cocktails and domestic tourism, dubbed Cocktails in the Wild. Tomorrow, the road trip to Kibaale National Park gets underway from Lugogo mall with stopovers planned along the way at Mityana, Mubende and Kyenjojo.

It’s not just about the destination, but the whole trip; so, the entire journey and stopovers will be spiced up to create lasting memories.

The final destination, called Top Of The World, overlooks three crater lakes, giving a fantastic view from the top. There will be hikes, water sports, nature walks in Kibaale national park and a tour of Fort Portal town, including the king’s palace with events spread across the weekend.

Saturday night will feature an urban nightlife experience with master mixologists trained under the Diageo Bar Academy, mixing cocktails with a full cocktail bar at their disposal.

DJs Bush Baby, Dibo, RPM and BK will be on the decks doing what they do best. According to David Gonahasa, the managing director of Roundbob, this trip, like the previous ones, has been organized to encourage the ordinary Ugandan to go out, explore and appreciate Uganda.

“We want Ugandans to go and see Uganda, and to appreciate the beauty that lies in our backyard before venturing to outside countries to appreciate the beauty there,” he said.

The full package costs Shs 250,000 including accommodation, meals, transport and access to all activities. Alternatively, one can cater for their own transportation and join the party at Shs 100,000.
