Anena set for I Bow For My Boobs recital
- Written by Andrew Kaggwa

‘I bow for my boobs’ is probably not the most conventional title for a poem, especially just after a university don recently decided to express herself by exposing her own breasts.
But that is Harriet Anena’s poetry and dance production that is set to debut at the National theater on Tuesday next week.
The show that will be a solo performance has been described as ‘political erotica’ which will feature a selection of over 12 poems, both published and unpublished.
They have been interpreted into dance by Elizabeth Pamela Acaye who is serving as the show director. But that won’t be all. The show will also be the official launch of Anena’s poetry collection, A Nation In Labour which will be on sale at Shs 15,000.
Tickets for the show go for Shs 10,000 for ordinary and Shs 20,000 for VIP, which will come with a free copy of the book.
