Your plot for Sunday evening has been sorted. Gospel performer Levixone Lala is holding what is expected to be an explosive reggae worship concert at Kati Kati grounds, Lugogo. He has lined up Uganda’s top gospel musicians and a few secular ones.
The lineup includes Exodus, Pastor Wilson Bugembe, Holy Kean Amooti, Coopy Bly, G-way, Jackie Ssenyonjo, Hawa, Katalina, Maurice Kirya, Richy Kawesa, Philla, Myko Ouma and Ruyonga, among others. He is counting on God and this lineup to fill up the venue that has conquered big-name artistes.
You may need to be part of the turning point in Uganda’s gospel music industry. For Levixone, this is a year of connection. “It is about connecting with all people, believers and non-believers. We are praying and believing that the concert will change someone’s life,” he said.
He has two albums to his name, Usinipite (never pass me by) and Connection. He took three years working on his first album Usinipite and it has songs like Tumusinze, featuring Crystal Fabulous and Tick Tah, plus the lead single Usinipite, among others. It was released in 2010.
Since then, he has grown as an artiste, touring and performing within the region and outside. On Sunday, he will be releasing Connection on which he features artistes like Mun* G, Cindy, and Ruyonga, among others.
Help Me featuring Dafari (Kenya) and Noonya Omu are so far the biggest hits off the new album getting airplay on both secular and gospel radio and TV stations. The show is being ‘powered’ by Power FM and Spirit FM, among others. The show starts at 5pm and entrance is Shs 20,000.
