Radio and TV personalities awards launch party
Radio and Television Academy Uganda are this year honouring contribution of various people towards the development of radio and television in Uganda.
To kick-start activities leading to the awards, there is a launch party tonight at Garden City Rooftop, where the organizers will unveil the categories for the awards and introduce the panel of judges.

The source of the Nile Marathon 2012
This Sunday, Hared Petroleum Ltd and the Uganda Athletics Federation will be hosting what is now hailed as one of Jinja town’s premier sporting event, the Source of the Nile marathon. Over 6,000 competitors from Uganda, Kenya, Tanzania, Rwanda and Burundi are expected to take part in this event.
This year’s marathon, organized with the goal of making strategic contribution towards reducing infant and maternal mortality, will involve a 21km run at 7am followed by the 10km run starting at 7.25am, throughout Jinja town streets.
Registration fee to take part in the race is Shs 15,000 for individuals and Shs 600,000 for corporate teams consisting of 10 people. Participants are urged to register at any Hared petrol stations in Uganda or at any of the following points in Kampala:
