Preparations for the 7th annual Groove Awards are underway. The nomination list is already out with Exodus, the reigning Olive Awards Best male artiste, leading his Ugandan counterparts in the nominations.
He is nominated for video of the year; collabo of the year and Ugandan artiste of the year. His hit Walking done with Alemba (Kenyan), has received a lot of airplay in the entire region and it is no wonder it was nominated video of the year and collabo of the year. Igwe, another 2011 runaway hit from Exodus may see him walking away with the accolade for the Artiste of the Year (Uganda) for the third consecutive time after scooping it in 2010 and 2011. The 2009 prize went to God’s Image.
Others nominated for artiste of the year (Uganda) are: Holy Keane Amooti, Marc Elvis, Kingsley & Philla, S4J and Coopy Bly.
