MultiChoice Uganda rewards customers

MultiChoice Uganda recently rewarded 200 customers who took part in the Back to School promo dubbed ‘Sasanya Amajja’ that was launched in December last year.

The promotion, which was intended to reward DStv and GOtv customers, ran for a period of two months up to January 2020, where winners were rewarded with cash prizes.

Colin Asiimwe, the head of Marketing at MultiChoice Uganda, while addressing the winners, reemphasized MultiChoice’s commitment towards promoting education and that this promotion was the company’s way of standing with their loyal customers.

“The month of January is synonymous with going back to school for most if not all parents. Our ‘Sasanya Amajja’ promotion was aimed at giving back to our customers through cash, specifically to ease the burden of school fees or pocket money and for scholastic materials,” Asiimwe said.

Joan Kizza, the communications manager at MultiChoice, lauded the winners on the positive response they gave to the promotion.

“Since the campaign launch on December 19, 2019, we have received over 180,000 entries out of whom 200 will be rewarded as winners of the promotion with each individual taking home Shs 500,000,” she said.

“Over and above the Shs 100 million that we are giving out in prizes to winners today, will be scholastic materials like notebooks, pencil cases, colours and pencils. We spent an additional Shs 20 million on these materials, which will be great add-ons for our students.”
