Jubilee Insurance Company has launched a Mum’s Club, a designated free space where all mothers; aspiring, new and active, will share their maternal moments at all extremes of their motherhood journey with vast exposure of skilled medical personnel to address all desired issues.

The forum is meant to open up the floor for mothers to engage with doctors, midwives, gynaecologists, paediatricians, fitness experts and various specialists on topics concerning pregnancy, family care, parenthood and mothers’ general health care through articles, social media platforms and monthly gatherings.

During the launch at Kampala Serena hotel on Tuesday, Jubilee Insurance CEO Deepak Pandely assured mothers that Jubilee Insurance is going to make sure they lack nothing as they prepare for their little ones.

“Motherhood is a beautiful journey that all women are privileged to walk, there is no longer need to take this journey alone and we will hold your hand to the finish line with an extra set of hands,” he said.

Dan Musiime, the head of health insurance at Jubilee, said that mothers under Jubilee Insurance will receive a 360 degree care package covering ultrasound scans, pregnancy tests, blood tests, baby monitoring kits, doctor consultations and follow-up, training sessions and a variety of vendors with the best mother-child care products.

The chief guest at the launch, Barbara Mulwana, managing director of Nice House of Plastics, expressed her concern on the amount of information children have access to these days even more than the parents and said that through the Mum’s Club, they will be able to discuss how to deal, mentor and nurture their children through networking as women and exchanging ideas on how to better themselves.

The Mum’s Club will be hosting mothers on a monthly basis at a designated location and date and the meetings will entail training programmes on mother and child care before and after birth, breastfeeding, check-ups, fitness awareness and general sessions with specialized doctors.

Registration to join the club is done for free on the Jubilee Insurance website where applicants fill a form with required personal information and await an acceptance email or call from the company.

Different social media forums such as a Facebook page and WhatsApp group have also been created where mothers can interact for experiences, advice and testimonials.

The insurance company is also in partnership with Surgipharm Uganda Ltd, Indulge Maternity Spa and Gym, Lato Milk, Mukwano Industries, Madrasa Early Childhood Development and Mickey Kids collection to provide quality services to the mothers in the club.
