Dell, the international computer firm, has launched support services dubbed Prosupport in different parts of Africa, Uganda inclusive.
The services will be free of charge Prosupport will enable their customers around the world to get free technical support capabilities, spare parts networks from Dell certified engineers. Uganda is one of the 10 countries in Africa that are targeted and customers will benefit from the direct expertise from the technical team from Dell partners.
“Our customers in Uganda will get all of the company’s Prosupport services in the exact manner as in Europe and American market,” Bradford McKenzie, the services sales director, southern and central Africa, said.
He added that through their partners, the company would be able to provide protection and advisory services for commercial customers to ensure maximum benefits. Dell said it registered sales worth $5m in Uganda in the last quarter of last year.
In Uganda, the technical team will respond to cases at a radius of 120km from the city.
“This makeover that Dell has completed in Uganda will be through advancement of support and technical expertise around the clock. It will also involve onsite repairs and phone diagnosis,” McKenzie explained.
