Mya bounces back

Blu 3’s Mya Baganda has ended her maternity leave to team up with Maro for a duet, Baibe. To many who had doubted Mya’s singing abilities, she is out to prove them wrong.

In 2009 during Blu 3’s album launch at KCC grounds, Jackie Chandiru handed Mya a microphone that was switched off, something that raised eyebrows about her role in the girlie band.

Meanwhile, the latest buzz reaching our desk is that DJ Michael will fly in Nigerian dancehall singer Mr Flavour N’Abania of the Ashawo Sawa Sawa Sawale fame for a live concert here.

Even though the date is yet to be communicated, sources have revealed that DJ Michael will be launching his album during the concert.

But a close friend said Meddie is just tired of publicity and he might add some more money. Others said Bobi Wine is not his close friend that is why he gave him that “pocket change”.

Meddie, whose source of income is mysterious, is better known for his extravagant lifestyle and gifts that have included a swanky BMW to singer Jose Chameleone. Meddie’s own big fleet of cars includes Mercedes Benzes and a Toyota Tundra.

The function slated for July 22 will be a kasiki for Mayinja’s album launch on July 29 at Hotel Africana.

In Eagles Production this now leaves Fred Maiso, Fred Sseruga, Catherine Kusasira and Maureen Nantume on the shelf after Stecia Mayanja, Mesach Ssemakula, Geoffrey Lutaaya, Sulaiman Ssekamatte and Haruna Mubiru formalized their unions in one way or another.

Walugembe the bar attendant

As they say, tough times call for tough measures. Moses Walugembe of Walugembe and Sons Computer Centre has resorted to bar business after the ban on importation of used computers and fridges.

Tomorrow, he opens his second Rabamba Pub at Namungoona following one in Nateete. Walugembe, who wears his uniform and serves the beer, says he found happiness in his new business although he insists that Walugembe and Sons still exists.

He hopes to target the corporate class in those suburbs.
