Kyambogo University has released its mature age admissions list, with 237 students invited to attend degree courses on government sponsorship. A further 31 students have been admitted to study for a certificate course in nursery teaching.
The university also admitted another 685 students to its degree programmes through an appeals process. According to the Academic Registrars’ Office, these are students who were not initially selected as the university sought to complete its quota under the mature age admissions component.
Once these had been selected, the admissions panel sat to look at other applicants who had qualified for its intake, hence the new admissions on appeal. Kyambogo University is presently handing out admission letters and continuing with the registration process as the new semester gets underway.
The latest admissions brings to more than 10,000 the total number of students admitted to Kyambogo University for the new academic year (2009/2010).
