SDV Transami Uganda Limited has rebranded to Bolloré Africa Logistics Uganda Limited.

This is a move by Bolloré group to align the local subsidiary with its global transport businesses. Bolloré Africa Logistics, a subsidiary of Bolloré group in France, is one of the leading logistics network in Africa with 250 subsidiaries in 55 countries, 45 of them in Africa. The Ugandan office also serves as the hub for the East Africa region operations.

Their services include: supply chain support, purchase order management, freight forwarding, customs brokerage, and equipment provision among others. Speaking at the unveiling ceremony held at Kabira Country Club recently, Koen Rombouts, the General Manager Bolloré Africa Logistics Uganda and South Sudan, said the new name applies to all business activities formerly handled under the name of SDV Transami in Uganda.

“The new name will apply for all business activities formerly handled under the name of SDV Transami in Uganda,” he said.

The company has warehouses in the industrial areas of Namuwongo, Namanve and Hoima and operates a fleet of 50 trucks to support local and international transport requirements for general cargo, containers and equipment. It’s also involved in exportation of tea, coffee and other products. Official company documents show that it transports 20% of Uganda’s coffee crop and 1,800 metric tonnes of tea per year.
